The Lake District is one of the best places in the UK for trail running. Epic landscapes, beautiful views and challenging terrain – who could ask for more!
We’ve put together this list of trail races and ultramarathons taking place in the Lakes in 2025. There are events taking place almost year-round, with a particular glut of races between April and September. If you’ve not run in the Lake District before, we highly recommend the Lakeland Trails series of races (full disclosure – we sponsor these!).
