Sometimes things change. You wear through a favourite t-shirt, you change size or shape, you run so much your feet need a size up, or you simply fall out of love with a colour. What do you do with old gear you no longer need?
At inov-8, we've been searching for solutions to help us take responsibility for the full lifetime of our products. We don't have all of the answers, but RENOV8 is our work-in-progress scheme (piloting first from our Lake District UK brand store, The Forge), pushing us to reach our personal best in this area.
We want to take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of our products.
We want to stop gear from collecting dust in cupboards, or being thrown away, and keep it in motion for longer.
Avoid landfill
Extending products lifetime is our first port of call.
Nothing gets sent to countries without good waste infrastructure - either for disposal or resale.
NEW STORE REPAIR SERVICE
We are now offering a repair service on INOV8 clothing and accessories that are brought in-person to one of our UK brand stores.
As part of this project, we’ve teamed up with a partner who has years of experience repairing high quality outdoor gear and will be using INOV8 spare parts and materials wherever possible.
At present we can only repair INOV8 clothing and accessories brought in-person to one of our INOV8 UK brand store drop-off points. However, watch this space for further developments.

RENOV8 Trade-In: How it works
Bring your unwanted INOV8 gear to The Forge, Staveley, Cumbria. We accept INOV8 gear in any condition, as long as it’s clean and dry. Full T&C’s apply (see below).
Speak to a store member of staff, fill in a form, and hand over your item(s). Receive a 20% inov-8 discount as a thank you, that can be used on any full price or RENOV8 products.
We will then either a) sort, revamp and give your products a second-life, or b) recycle anything that cannot be re-worn.
Spend your voucher in-store or online.
RENOV8 Trade-In: Terms & Conditions
A form must be completed in store at the point of trade-in, in order to receive an INOV8 discount.
Multiple items may be traded in together, however the discount code issued will remain at the same value.
We accept INOV8 gear with any level of wear, but it must be in clean and dry condition.
Socks and underwear is not accepted.
INOV8 store staff reserve the right to reject an item for takeback, for example (but not limited to) if it is damp or dirty.
Discount codes are single-use, and are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Discount codes can be used in INOV8 stores or inov8.com, to purchase any full price INOV8 or RENOV8 products.
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer code.
Takeback voucher code must be entered/given at inov8.com/in-store checkout to redeem.
Takeback voucher codes cannot be honoured retrospectively if the code is not entered at time of purchase.
Only UK customers are eligible to participate in the INOV8 takeback program.
INOV8 reserves to right to change take-back incentives at any point, with immediate effect. Value of discount codes already issued will be unaffected.

Can I trade-in my items online?

Can I use my discount voucher for online purchases?
Yes, you can use your code for any full priced INOV8 purchases in any INOV8 store, or inov8.com.
Which countries can participate in this scheme?
This is currently a UK-only scheme.
Does my discount apply to both new and pre-loved items?
Yes, it applies to any full priced INOV8 or RENOV8 purchases you make.
Can I buy pre-loved INOV8 gear online?
RENOV8 only exists in our UK Forge store - for now!
If I buy a RENOV8/pre-loved item in store, is it covered by a warranty?
As long as you provide a valid receipt which references the condition/grade the item was sold in, our standard warranty still applies for any defects that were not clear at the point of sale. Details here: Terms & Conditions | INOV8 UK
Can I get an item repaired and returned instead?
We are hoping to offer this service very soon – watch this space!
Where do the collected products go?
Any INOV8 gear that can still be re-worn gets refurbished, reworked, and resold directly by us in store. Any footwear which can’t be repaired, goes to Fast Feet Grinded, who grind and separate the materials. These are sold into supply chains such as sofa stuffing, picnic benches, and playground surfaces. And textiles which can’t be repaired are kept for matching component parts for other items, and one-off upcycling projects.
